After saying quarterback Stephen Garcia would start at Ole Miss Saturday during Monday's USC weekly press conference, Steve Spurrier backed off his proclamation yesterday afternoon in Columbia in favor of inconsistent sophomore Chris Smelley.
What's the matter Ole Ball Coach? Is Garcia not ready for an SEC game? Is your offensive coordinator (most likely himself) drawing up a few plays exclusively for Garcia to use in the pocket?
It's time to give Gamecock fans what they want, and what they want is Garcia as the starting quarterback. We'll take a 5-7 season, but please let Stephen play; or either pick a starting quarterback and let this carousel end.
